...I have actually decided that I like the ballgown on me better than the amethyst one (gown #1). They are both GORGEOUS dresses IMHO, but the ballgown has the HUGE train that I love and want. The only downside to that dress is that it is hotter than the amethyst one...mainly because I have fabric insulating every inch of my legs. The other one there was breathing space under the skirt of the gown.
I didn't think that I would find anything that I liked at that store, but (surprisingly) I found two!
I can't wait for mom's and my trip up to Ottumwa tomorrow, before I have to go to work. ^_^ (Don't worry, Christie...we will go with you as well some other time!)

one thing i have seen done (which you prob wont want to do) is they take out a lot of the layering underneath and use a ring of boneing to make it poof and it still looks great.
the problem, and the reason why i don't see you doing it is because it would probably make it lay different on a horse
though as i think about it... you don't really have to make the ring big... could make a smaller on the most bottom layer just to lift it off your legs and make some air flow.. might work if done right
Unfortunately, hoops and rings don't work when riding side-saddle. I wish that they did : (
