Elizabeth and I went to Ottumwa to the two stores we could find there. One was the Bridal Cottage - wow, fabulous store with really awesome people to help you out. They had a fantastic selection for a little town like Ottumwa, and was our favorite place to date to visit. Bailey's had a great selection of dresses in larger sizes, but they had sold most of their gowns for the season and apologized and asked if we'd come back. Here are the photos of today's trip:
Gown #1 (Bridallure with an enormous, gorgeous train)
Gown #2
Gown #3 (petal train)
Gown #4 (asymmetrical)
With Grandma Bea's cameo as a brooch
Comparing White (wearing) with Diamond White (hanging) which seems to go better with the cameo. It's difficult to tell in the photo, but White seems too stark and too much of a contrast.
Gown #5
Gown #6
Gown #7 (Ball gown by Midge - by Maggie Sottero)
Gown #8
Gown #9
Gown #10 (has removable train, not pictured)
Gown #10 (Ambrosia by Maggie Sottero - was the cover gown for their last catalog)
Gown #11

i love the last one... the skirt is gorgeous!
i also like the ones (there are two) that have a sash/ribbon/detailing that comes up and around like an empire waist (but is pointed up) especially the bodice where you put the cameo at the point. very lovely. :)
